Sati Pasala Program at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital

An introductory session on Mindfulness Practice was conducted at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital Borella on 28th April which was attended by a cross-section of hospital staff. The programme comprised of mindful walking and sitting together with selected mindful games and a special session on mindful eating. Children from the preschool of LRH also attended the programme and they were guided by the Sati Pasala Facilitrors.

Sati Pasala Introduction program to Health Sector Personnel at Kandy

The above program was held on Friday, 16th March at the main Auditorium of Kandy Teaching Hospital from 9.00 am to about 11.30 am. This was organized by consultant Doctor W. A. L. Wickramasinghe together with Doctor Nimmi De Silva.

The participants were a mix of personnel working on health sector comprising of medical doctors, nurses, community health workers, attendants, student counselors of schools and pradeshiya sabhas, people working on drug and child abuse prevention and rehabilitation work, totaling about 80.

Mindfulness for Health Sector Professionals

Mindfulness for Health Sector Professionals

The Sati Pasala Foundation is arranging mindfulness induction and training, for professionals in the health sector. These programs will be specially designed to introduce mindfulness to doctors, nurses, ward sisters, matrons, physiotherapists and other allied health personnel. Through these programs they could learn mindfulness themselves and thereafter share it with patients and colleagues. Eventually they can become Mindfulness Ambassadors.
