On the 1st November at the Polonnaruwa Rajakeeya Vidyalaya, Sati Pasala Mindfulness Programs will be introduced to Principals and teachers of all National Schools in the North Central Province as well as to all Provincial schools in the Polonnaruwa district. Sati Pasala: Mindfulness @ Derana, Triad Agencies

In an unusual event, for the first time Sati Pasala & Mindfulness were introduced to one of the most promising & popular media agencies in Colombo on October 26th.
About 150 employees of Triad & Derana gathered in their office premises to understand Mindfulness & to experience mindful walking and mindful sitting, for the first time in their life.

Mindfulness for Child Protection: an Inter Religious initiative

At the Sarvodaya auditorium in Borella on October 24th, Mindfulness for Protecting Children was the topic of discussion. This was the third such discussion on this topic during the past two months. Mindfulness in schools through Sati Pasala, penetrating teachers, Principals and Provincial Education Authorities was considered as a possible solution to addressing the perennial problem of child abuse through a different dimension.

Sati Pasala Mindfulness Training Program for Visaka Pre-School Kadawatha

Visaka Pre-School Kadawatha, opened their doors to Sati Pasala on the 17th October 2017, from 10.00 am – 01.00 pm. to spend a few hours with the youngsters and teachers. There were approximately 150 students and 20 teachers. The head of school Mrs. Visaka Jayawardane also participated in the proceedings.

The Bishops Education Advisory Committee (BEAC) & Mindfulness @ the SLFI

On the 20th October a group of Anglican Clergy & teachers of schools falling within the Christian Schools belonging to the BEAC were exposed to mindfulness. As part of the Sati Pasala on-going Interfaith initiatives since last year, this third such event had Venerable Dhammajiva explaining the value of Mindfulness in Education and it’s extensive use in day to day life.
