The first Global Mindfulness Summit 2018 (February 23-25) was completed with complete success, with a packed auditorium and lobby at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute in Colombo. An unprecedented interest in mindfulness and its applications, was shown by large numbers of people from all sections of society. The uniqueness of this special event was its non-sectarian, non-religious, apolitical nature. It’s was delightful to watch those from all hues and faiths mingle with each other and to watch them sit in meditation with each other. The event was symbolic of cross-cultural, inter-ethnic, multi-religious harmony and coexistence.
