The Sati Pasala Lounge @ the Global Mindfulness Summit (February 23-25)

We warmly welcome everyone to visit the Sati Pasala Lounge at the SLFI. This will be a specially designated area, intended to present the key functions of the Sati Pasala Foundation to the Delegates. It will display Sati Pasala books, DVDs and relevant literature, and will serve as an important information desk.

Sati Pasala for Pre School teachers @ the SLFI on December 16th

Together with the All Ceylon Teachers Union, the Sati Pasala Foundation organised the first mindfulness induction program for pre School teachers from all parts of the country. Teachers from all religions and all ethnicities participated. It was a very interesting and joyful program, where Sati Pasala Facilitators introduced various aspects of cultivating mindfulness using vivid examples and through song, dance, storytelling, and through mindful eating, mindful listening, mindful walking and mindful sitting.

Sati Pirivena Introduction Programme at Mahavihara Maha Pirivena – Asgiriya, Kandy

This program was held on Friday 10th November 2017 at Asgiriya Mahavihara Maha Pirivena from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Participants were about 260 monks. The Parivenaadipathi Most Ven. Narampanave Ananda Thero & the Deputy Parivenaadipathi of the Asgiripirivena was very supported to make the activities and provided all facilities for the events. The whole programme was conducted by Most Ven. Udaeriyagama Dhammajeewa maha thero.

Global Mindfulness Summit: Waiting List Opened

Due to the unprecedented interest shown, we have already reached full seating capacity at the Summit venue. But we have begun compiling a Waiting List for the GMS, starting today (December 11). Please enter your details in the Waiting List without delay and we will contact you no sooner vacancies arise.

Those of you who have already confirmed participation will receive a Delegate Number this week. Please save that number and bring it with you when visiting the SLFI Delegates Desk, which will be functional from February 16th (10.00am to 4.30pm).  You will then be issued a Delegate Badge which will enable you to attend all sessions at the Summit easily.

Sati Pasala: Mindfulness to the Sri Lankan Parliament

Today, December 8th, a delegation from the Sati Pasala Foundation met the Hon Speaker Mr. Karu Jayasuriya in the Speakers Chambers and introduced Sati Pasala. The Speakers response to introducing mindfulness to the Parliamentarians and the Staff of the Parliament was very encouraging. The discussion revolved round how mindfulness has been integrated into the British Parliament (Mindful Nation UK) and how in the USA it is being advocated by prominent Congressmen,  as well as in Canada and in certain states in Australia.

Mindfulness for Health Sector Professionals

Mindfulness for Health Sector Professionals

The Sati Pasala Foundation is arranging mindfulness induction and training, for professionals in the health sector. These programs will be specially designed to introduce mindfulness to doctors, nurses, ward sisters, matrons, physiotherapists and other allied health personnel. Through these programs they could learn mindfulness themselves and thereafter share it with patients and colleagues. Eventually they can become Mindfulness Ambassadors.
