On the 24th May, braving furious weather and island wide devastating floods, crowds gathered for a very special event at the Peradeniya MMV. This is the alma mater of the Founder of Sati Pasala, Venerable Dhammajiva. On an invitation from the school, Venerable Dhammajiva conducted a Sati Pasala mindfulness program for students and teachers. As if on cue, the sun appeared and shone brilliantly during the entire program. The school gifted Venerable Dhammjiva with a fitting gift – a portrait (attached).

The Sati Pasala Mindfulness Introduction program was held at Musaeus College – Colombo, on the 16th of May, 2018. The program was conducted for the Grade 11 students of the school. The children actively engaged in mindful sitting, mindful walking and discussed on the use of mindfulness in day to day activities. At the end of the program, children provided their feedback of their practice.

Students from a school nearby ‘Roman Catholic Vidyalaya ‘ attended a three hour session with their teacher the Sister.

The Sati Pasala mindfulness program was held at Rippon Girls College, Galle. Students participated in guided mindfulness walking and sitting. The program was conducted by Ven. Dhammavihari Thero.

Imaduwa Sati Pasala was started on 1st May 2018 at Dhamma Vijaya Meditation Centre. It will be continued once a month.

Sati Pasala facilitators visited G/Batemulla National School on 1st May 2018. In this program, students, teachers, principal and leaders of the school participated in guided mindfulness walking and sitting. The program was conducted by Ven. Dhammajiva Thero with Sati Pasala facilitators.

Sati Pasala mindfulness program was held on the 26th March 2018 at Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda. The participants consisted of more than 300 students and 11 teachers.  The Principal of the School was very enthusiastic about the program and she actively participated in the proceedings.
