After a brief introduction, mindful sitting, mindful walking, mindful eating, mind jar and day to day mindfulness were introduced. The scientific Understanding of Mindfulness was also discussed.

Sati Pasala Mindfulness Programme at Zonal Education Office, Hanguranketha

Sati Pasala mindfulness programme was held at the Hanguranketha Zonal Education Office on 25th of February 2019. The programme was conducted by most Ven. Rajasinghegama Thilakadhamma Thero and about 50 staff members participated. Key mindful activities including Mindful Sitting, Mindful Walking Mindful Listening and Mindful Eating was practiced along with several mindful games. The participants showed immense interest in the programme and pledged to give their best to strengthen the Sati Pasala operations in Hanguranketha Zone.

New Hopewell & Wikiliya Team has organized a Sati Pasala induction programme at Imbulpe Shariputhra Maha Vidyalaya on 20th February 2019 to aware about the Sati Pasala for teachers. The objective of this programme is to practice sathiya on each day when start school, lunchtime and period start in the school. The teachers gain lots of knowledge regarding Sathiya and the teachers who are in the misunderstanding about Sathiya, can clear their doubts. They asked questions about the points they want to clear. The teachers are satisfied with this programme and a successful discussion has been done with them and they have decided to hold Sati Pasala for their students.

Sati Pasala Programme at Pussellawa Maha Vidyalaya – 11th February 2019

Harangalla Tea Factory has organized a Sati Pasala introduction programme at Pussellawa Vidyalaya on 11th February 2019 to aware about the Sati Pasala for teachers. Those teachers are mixed of Hindu teachers, Christian teachers and Buddhist teachers. Currently, students and teachers work much higher than normal workloads. So that relaxation is a need. Otherwise, they have to suffer from their stress. The objective of this programme is to take this school as a Sati Pasala model school. The teachers gained lots of knowledge regarding Sathiya and the teachers who are in misunderstandings about Sathiya, could clear their doubts.

Sati Pasala Programme at Nawalapitiya Central College – 13th February 2019

Sati Pasala programme was held at Nawalapitiya Central College on 13th February 2019 for students and teachers along the day. There were four sessions for four groups of students. There are more than 750 students and teachers participated. The first session was from 8.00 am to 10.00am for A/L students, Second session was from 10.00am to 11.30 am for O/L students, third session was from 12.00pm to 1.30pm for grade 8 and grade 9 students and the last session was from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm for grade 7, 6 and 5 students.

Students were guided to practice several mindful activities including mindful walking, mindful sitting, mindful eating, mindful listening and mindful games as well. When we went to school we feel that they are not well organized and they have some negative attitudes. They do not give their maximum contribution to us in the morning. But after holding one session, they felt about the programme and they get together & help us to continue the other sessions. The teachers who dislike the programme previously made a request to hold a programme for teachers and students.

Sati Pasala programme for Pre-School teachers has organized by New Hopewell and Wikiliya Tea Factories on 31st January 2019. The programme was conducted by Ven. Athurugiriye Dhammawihari Thero and it was run from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. More than 100 Pre-School teachers participated in the programme. Being in the present moment was introduced through mindful sitting, mindful walking and mindful eating.

The objective of this programme is to conduct Sati Pasala on each day 10 minutes in the school. The teachers gain lots of knowledge regarding Sathiya and the teachers who are in the misunderstanding about Sathiya, can clear their doubts. The teachers are satisfied with this program and a successful discussion has been done with them. Finally, they asked another programme for them and they agreed to do the Sati Pasala programmes continuously in Ellepola School.

Sati Pasala programme has been organized by Senhora Synergies Tea Company at New Hopewell Tea Factory auditorium on 19th January 2019 from 9.30am to 11.30am. More than 244 Dhamma School teachers and Bhikkus participated enthusiastically for the programme. Mindfulness person can win all the obstacles. According to the comments of them they need to improve their Sathiya as they identify the thousands of benefits of mindfulness.
